Yes, this is before he was the Adam Lambert. I was fresh out of school [New York University’s Tisch School for the Arts/CAP21], and one of my teachers had a connection to someone in the production ofDebbie Does Dallas in Lake Tahoe. They needed a replacement because the guy who was doing it, Adam Lambert, was leaving to doWicked.
So there was overlap with Lambert?
Adam took a week to teach me the role, and I lived with him for that week. They had us in these cool lodges out in Lake Tahoe. We performed five or six nights a week at 10pm, so we had pretty much the entire day to do what we wanted. When I learned I got the role in New York, my music theory teacher wanted to go over the music with me, so I would be prepared. We tackled it in the way that Adam Lambert—lungs of steel and voicebox of gold—can sing it. I was like, "This is not going to happen. Let’s make some tweaks"’ They were fine with that, and I got to do the role in my own way.

In an interview he did for the Rolling Stone magazine, Adam Lambert revealed some information about the sound of his new album with the title “Trespassing” which we expect to be released on the first quarter of 2012.
Adam said that the sound is “party music, sex music” and described it as “club-ready sound, inspired by disco, 90`s electro –skillrex-y dubstep”. One of his songs from his new album “Shady” is being described by Adam Lambert as “« Nine Inch Nails meet Saturday Night Fever».
The young singer had also some other descriptions about his new songs.
“Fucked up relationships S & M, paranoid minds, hot nights at clubs, these are the themes from the songs of my new album”

Glamberts are likely squealing from Adam Lambert’s Nov. 18 tweet announcing a new album. Trespassing will be set for a spring 2012 release. He followed up the twee-nouncement with the name of his first single, “Better Than I Know Myself,” but no release date has been mentioned.
Rolling Stone published this piece today on Lambert discussing his new album with writer Matt Diehl. From RollingStone.com.
This year, Lambert assembled hitmakers including Pharrell Williams, Dr. Luke and “Teenage Dream” co-writer Bonnie McKee to replace his 2009 debut’s glam pop with a club-ready sound inspired by classic disco, Nineties electronica and Skrillex-y dubstep. He even got Chic’s Nile Rodgers to play on “Shady,” a sexy cut that Lambert describes as “Nine Inch Nails meetsSaturday Night Fever.” “There’s party music, sex music, fucked-up-relationship S&M music,” says the singer. “But every song explores something real.”
Realest of all is “Outlaws of Love” — a smoldering serenade about gay marriage. “I’d never considered marriage before,” says Lambert, who’s dating Sauli Koskinen, a Finnish reality-TV personality. “But now that I am, I can’t do it.”
