Me and Adam!

On a cold, snowy and miserable day in December when I was questioning my future on this blog, I received a tweet (and a sign from the universe) on my cell from a follower I barely knew.  It said "I bought you the picture." 

A couple of days earlier, tweeting with some friends, I had demanded do not let me buy it!  I wanted the Adam Lambert signed Lee Cherry photograph that was offered for a kickstarter donation but well, I'm sure all of us did.

Why did S do this for me?

Apparently, the joy that I brought into her life through my daily blog made S want me to have the picture and  she couldn't think of a better place for "October Adam" to live than in my home.

S said: "You have no idea how much your Adam work and knowing your volunteer work helps me believe in kindness and wonder in people…I almost lost it…I just didn’t believe people like you existed. You helped me regain my faith in humanity…thank you for all you do for others. It makes me sooooo happy knowing you are happy."

 And yesterday it arrived!

S, this is an incredible gift that I will always cherish.  Not only is it a beautiful picture signed by Adam Lambert, it is also a reminder of the incredible generosity and love that can be found in this world. You are my beautiful soul sister and I adore you forever!

    Wow, wow, wow ! ( 2 days late, computer issues, ugh ) I know right where you are sitting, and you, and Adam, look gorgeous, and NO ONE deserves this more !!!
    You, sister, are an inspiration to us all. I know what you do is a labor of love and you would probably do it anyway, just for yourself, but your thousands of followers are soooo grateful that you share it with us. You keep our obsession alive and well and always wanting more, and you've improved the mental health of most of us, Dr. Gloria.
