My first impression of @adamlambert was how unbelievably, heartstoppingly, drop-the-laundry, do-a-double-take gorgeous he was. Beautiful. Perfect. Man. I could not look away.

My second impression, about two seconds afterward, was how much and how deeply I instantly liked him - the total lack of swagger or c***iness, nothing but his pure, innocent heart showing on his face. I liked him immediately; I liked him immensely; I wanted to befriend him and mother him and slay dragons for him all at once.

And then, before I had time to figure out just what the he11 was happening to me, he opened his mouth and sang. I have never recovered.

Adam Inspires!

And here we see Adam, two years later, after a successful album, Grammy Nomination, sold out world tour, writing and recording music with industry stars who adore him, and tonight holding hands with his honey on the Red Carpet, relaxed and happy, because he knows who he is and just wants to share it with us.

Adam, being authentically Adam, is all we ask for and it's what we get, day after day. Lately he's been having impromptu Twitter parties and answers even intrusive questions (nipple rings?), and posts photos from his life. We see him loving his boyfriend, family, and friends, and how he adores his godson, Riff. Adam is living his dream, and he knows it's important to share that with the world. Scared gay kids now see what a full life they can have, too. Being a famous singer isn't necessary. They can live out their own dreams. Also, Adam is changing hearts and minds of people who never liked gay people until they 'met' Adam and they've become more open minded, like a coworker of mine who has truly changed.

Adam is an inspiration for any of us who may have blocked some of our own dreams. We're all worthy of reaching our awesome potential, despite our personal obstacles. Adam's life is emblematic of that message. I see his smile tonight and know that his heart really is full, and I know I can fill my heart too, with a little courage. Thank you@adamlambert
