I'm posting this entry to my contest again today because I noticed it got cut off on yesterday's post!

For The Love of Adam

There are so many things to love about Adam, and so much inspiration to choose from. For me, the discovery of how vulnerable and approachable Adam is really made an indelible impression on me.

I first experienced this when I met Adam after the Myrtle Beach concert. His kindness and openness made our brief moment together a great memory. I just wanted to give him a hug (he looked like he needed one), but there was no time and too many people who also claimed his attention.

I was so lucky to get a chance at that hug when I met Adam during the meet and greet in Amsterdam. Adam was genuinely pleased to meet his fans and the vulnerability I saw in his eyes melted my heart. I understand why his good friends and his fans are so fiercely protective of him. All of us would do almost anything to see that his wonderful heart is never crushed.

I am including my favorite photo of Adam taken after the Richmond, Va. concert by my daughter Jamie (I let her get the autograph that time!). In this shot the superstar becomes the fun, down to earth young man we all treasure. In the future, as Adam's fame grows, we fans may not have such incredible close encounters. This makes the memories especially precious.
