Adam's Music and Vocal Artistry Programme on UK On-line Radio


All this week, a music programme by Angelina Kalahari, opera singer, will be played on http://www.mywordradio.com/  at 10:00 p.m. (UK time). US times are 5:00 p.m. EST, 4:00 p.m. CST, 3:00 p.m. MST, and 2:00 p.m. PST.


Anglelina's programme discusses Adam's voice, the quality of his classical singing technique, his vocal range, and demonstrates with a great selection of his music. Beginning with "Come to Me, Bend to Me", Angelina describes Adam's vocal mastery and introduces his music to listeners. She talks about the types of music that Adam sings, and the new music styles and sounds he is creating, as evidenced in "Broken Open", and also the classical operatic quality of "Soaked". Angelina attended 3 of Adam's GlamNation concerts, and conveys Adam's artistry on the stage in vivid terms.


Her programme is 40 minutes and includes 6 of Adam's songs from FYE and Accoustic Live EP. The programme aired on April 12, and was so well received by listeners that it was played again this morning at 9:30 a.m., and will be played each night for the next week. After the first broadcast, more of Adam's songs were played as well.


Angelina Kalahari is a classically trained soprano opera singer who lives in the UK. She has been fortunate enough to sing all over the world, enjoying some wonderful moments along the way, including being invited to Buckingham Palace by Queen Elizabeth II in recognition of her contribution to the music, economy and culture of the UK. As a child, she fell in love with the tenor voice , and that love has been rekindled beyond reason by the exquisite voice of Adam Lambert.


Angelina's radio programme will air every two weeks, and her show is dedicated to exploring the beauty and richness of the human vocal performance. She selected Adam Lambert as her first vocalist to present to her UK audience.

"I was in a large chain supermarket today here in Gwangju City, S. Korea when they started playing "If I Had You" over the PA system! I was soooooo excited! It was the first time I had heard Adam's song here in Korea, other than on the English radio station. So the song must have been a big hit here in Korea for them to be playing it throughout the store. I often hear them playing Kelly Clarkson but this is the first I've heard Adam. Yeah!!!"
