Story of Adam Inspiration thanks to Cornelia

Hi Gloria, 

 my story is short but as it happened recently I wanted to send it to you. 

On the 11 th of June my father had a very bad back-ache. 4 weeks earlier he had been diagnosed with osteoporosis at the spine (it was not enough to suffer since 12 years of rheumatism and neuropathy). 

That morning he was sneezing and suddenly felt that ache from the spine to to soles of the feet. We live in the same house and my mom called us. My father was crying for the pain and felt so desperate, he thought he would die. 

I was soooo worried because 3 years ago he had a heart attack too and I was thinking he would get another because of the agitation. So to have some strength to comfort him, I just held my Aftermath-necklace and thought of the words which Adam said in a recent twitter-party: I don't pray, I trust.   

Trust, that was the thing I needed in that moment.   The ambulance arrived and he got some infusion and he calmed down. The heart was okay (that was my greatest fear) and then he was taken to the hospital. 

Nothing was broken in his spine and after 4 days he returned home. He has to have therapy now but it will take some time to have results. 

   So I'm thankful to Adam to have said these words. Prayers lost their meaning to me, since my dad and also some colleagues of mine are so ill. 

But the word "trust" (I somehow never thought of it by myself !!!!!! ) has a meaning for me. #justoneword

Story of Adam Inspiration thanks to Andrea

Hi Gloria, Love your blog! Here is my entry for the contest. You can post it if you want ;) My 9yr old daughter introduced me to Adam !! One day she called me over to the computer and showed me Adam's "For Your Entertainment" video. She asked if I would buy her Adam's Cd. My daughter is a lover of music (like her Mommy) so I willingly went out and bought her Adam's CD.


Meanwhile, I was researching and watching everything I could find on YouTube about Adam. My one regret is that I missed Season 8 of Idol...but after my daughter introduced me to him- I fell head over heels for that boy!


Of course...I was alone in my love obsession as none of my friends liked Adam. One day at work I opened my hotmail only to be blown away with an e-mail that said "Pre-Sale tickets for ADAM LAMBERT" at the River Rock Casino- I NEARLY DIED RIGHT THERE AT MY DESK- *THUD*.


Adam ended up having 2 shows that weekend here in my hometown. I went to both shows by myself and after the weekend was over- - I cried. I had met so many wonderful Glamberts who were also obsessed with our dear Adam!

The next time I saw Adam was in Seattle. To say I was excited was an extreme understatement. I was inspired to make a home made shirt to wear for the concert. I've never done this before but I wanted to wear something special for the show. I thought of my design for the shirt for a long time- I wanted it to beperfect. As I was making it, my Hubby had a good laugh at me as this was a first for me. He said "Wow, this Adam has you all crazy".. um- yeah ;)

My weekend in Seattle was the best ever and I wore my shirt proudly!
