First of all I have to say that I LOVE your blog. It's amazing. Everyday I can't wait to see what you're going to post this time.
Now I'm writing to you because of the contest you announced in your subscriber-mails.
Adam is just an inspiring person. I think every Glambert gets inspired by him – all in a different way.
Because of him I started drawing again, after years of not doing it. I have to wall drawings in my room and if I had more space I would definitely do some more.
He inspires me to write and read fanfiction.
I think I got a lot more creative since I know Adam.
But what's most important to me is that Adam inspires me to be myself. Without any regrets. I am who I am and I am proud of it. Thanks to him I learned to love myself and I will always owe him something for making him believe in myself.
I attached a kind of collage with things Adam inspired me to do. I can't wait to read and see how Adam inspired the other Glamberts (including you?!)

This quote from Elvis is a big part of what I love so much about Adam. I am no kid (almost 44), but Adam came into my life at a time when I desperately needed to feel like I belonged. My mom had died after a long illness, and my whole family went through a period of extended crisis. By the time it was all over, I was tired, worn out, and felt "old" – like nothing would ever be fun again.
Then came Adam. I first saw him on YouTube after the AMA's – I couldn't resist checking out this scandalous performance – and before long, I was a die-hard fan. To me, he seemed a champion, the one "weird kid" who had the courage to raise his middle finger to the snobs and just be his big, bad, glittery self. Unapologetic. Out and proud. Utterly unique and beautiful. Adam's unique mixture of wildness and innocence spoke to my soul. His message of love, authenticity, self-acceptance and self-worth was like balm to my aching heart.
I have loved being an Adam fan! Because of my love for Adam, I have rediscovered the joy of listening to music, following pop trends, and even stepping out once in a while, wearing leather and glitter, and dancing! Getting to see Adam on the GNT last year was an amazingly intense experience.
He continues to inspire me every day. I am working out and getting in better shape (want to look good at that meet and greet at the next tour). I have also taken up a fun, creative new hobby – learning to sew and trying my hand at designing some Adam-inspired fabric. Because of Adam, I have made friends with Glamberts from all over the world.
Thank you, Adam, for giving me a place to belong!

ReplyDeleteI actually hope Adam's message to Levine -- that Levine might know who he is after the next album -- doesn't have anything to do with a collaboration. I hope it's because the music and performances are going to be that great, that ADAM will be the big superstar.
Collaborations are great and it would be swell if Adam got to do something with Bowie. I have a lot of nostalgia for him. But I hope it's Adam's name up in lights that makes Levine take notice.
Great post and theme Gloria. Adam's smile just lights up the room. I've had that Smile vid on my iPod since it came out and it always makes me feel good. How can anyone look at that smile and not smile back.
