Band News! 08/12/2011

SOOOOO. Jason and I heard it FIRST. Adam Lamberts new single "Better Than I Know Myself" and its FIRE. It totally brings it back to vintage Lambert and reminds me of his original and amazing hit "Whataya Want From Me" but has that new, fresh feel to it. And, I mean...isnt that what we want from our favorite artists? Keep it classy but fresh all at once? Welp, he succeeded.

The lyrics and melody is great,you can sing along to it, feel the energy and sultry vibe to the song.

He has such passion in all of his music and this just seriously exceeds expectations. We cant post the audio just yet, but the second we can you guys will hear it!!!!

So, Lambert fans.....Keep eyes and ears open for this one. You wont be disappointed.

WOW! What an Independence Day party we had on Tuesday!! My head is still spinning from having met so many Finns. It's kind of a rarity over here to see 150 Finns together. The party was held in the upscale neighborhood of Bel Air and let me tell you, I could move there right this very minute! :) The catering was lovely Finnish food!! YUM!! I just about fainted when I saw the meatballs, mashed potatoes and ahh the Karelian pies!! The drinks were good old Koskenkorva. Hah! The bar was pretty busy... :)

I met some absolutely wonderful people at the party! I was so excited when Finland Consul General in Los Angeles, Kirsti Westphalen, told me she read my blog. Awesome!! Thank you so much, Kirsti, for the incredible party! More of the same, and let's fly the Finnish flag high!! I have to start thinking about ways to raise Finland's profile more here in America. Hmmm... The suggestion box is open to good ideas.

Tomorrow, I will shock you with a variety of ”strange” hairstyles. Yay!
