And I Smile A Lot More! 10/03/2012

Adam Lambert in DC today!
*NEW PIC* Adam Lambert arriving in Washington DC 3-10-12 ((No w/m))

More here:

Dear Glamberts:

Thanks so much for all the letters to Adam.  I lost count but will let you know the number once I get it all put together later today.  I will continue to post some of your letters on this blog so if you didn't give me permission and do not mind, let me know.

I have so enjoyed reading your letters and  laughing and crying and feeling so proud of Adam.  It really has been a privilege to hear how you feel  and even though it's been a lot of work for me, I loved doing it!

My good friend @thefilmqueen put together a lovely cover page with some pictures which I will show you all once it's delivered.  (Want it to be a surprise for Adam)

One more idea!

Does anyone have a husband or significant other who would like to send a letter of thanks to Adam?  (you know what I mean, haha!)  I was thinking it would be funny to include a few of those right at the very end of the book.  I believe Adam would be amused!   If you can get your partner to write a note to Adam about how life has  changed, please do it today and send to me. Or write a letter about your husband's response to Adam and your evolution and send that to me!

Gonna have it bound tomorrow morning so tonight is the absolute latest time I can add more!

Acoustic Cafe and I'm gonna be there!

Interview is Working to the end now!

Cool Spotters

Adam Lambert says he and the members of Queen haven't discussed the possibility of playing dates in the U.S.
"It's just that one date at Sonisphere and the warm-up gig in Russia," Adam said Friday at a radio-station event in Nashville. The two acts are playing together June 30 in Moscow and July 7 in England, with Lambert filling the frontman spot left vacant by the Freddie Mercury's death in 1991.
"Maybe we'll be able to do, like, a special night somewhere here, I don't know," he said during an interview with 107.5 The River on-air personality Intern Adam. "But there's no plan. There hasn't even been talk of that, so don't get your hopes up."

We all need to do this daily!  Just take a few minutes and do as much as you can to help promote Adam

"I try not to let online negativity affect me, but the internet is an easy place to hate. I'm definitely subjected to it from time to time. But what I tell myself is that the negativity is louder than the positivity."
"Happy people are just living their life they've not got time to hate."
The star, who is an inspiration to many of his fans for his unwavering social conscience, continued philanthropy and advocation for LGBT rights, added that the internet breeds negativity and it's sad that people feel the need to break others down in order to feel better about themselves.

More Letters to Adam

 Dear Adam,

I wrote the below almost three years ago on 20 July 2009, on your unofficial fansite  It was written as LuvAdam476 (476 being my Glambert #)  but I now go by @Gloria476 on twitter and most everything else.  Short letter after the "Why I'm a Fan".

Why I'm a Fan

> Adam I am a fan of yours because you're humble, gracious, respectful, original, unique, talented beyond words, and a true creative genius!

> I am not a religious person, more spiritual however, I have said this many times on the other forum, "Adam, you are one of Gods' most beautiful creations". You are a one of a kind.

> Your stage presence, and performances hypnotize and mesmerize me. You have cast a spell over me and I do not want to wake up. You have the ability to pull a person into your world when performing and it is like falling into a vortex and enjoying every single second of it. I personally love it and do not want your performances and the way they make me feel to end.

> Over the months I have gotten to know your personality. You are a gentle, kind and sensitive soul with lots of drive and persistance. I love the fact that you stay true to yourself and do not compromise your ethics or anything else to move ahead. I love who you are and wouldn't want you to be any other way.
> Something I haven't mentioned but absolutely will is that you are MY IDOL and the fact that you are Smokin Hot Drop Dead Gorgeous doesn't hurt! (lol) I may lol but it is oh so true.
> Your vocals are flawless, you are intelligent, articulate, quick on your feet, and are such a genuine nice guy who can help but love you and be drawn to you.
> Your smile is so genuine and your laugh is so infectious, it is something that I along with others just can't wait to see and hear.
> I have been waiting for someone like you, no, actually YOU to come along for so many years it is unbelievable. You remind me of the rock stars and legends from the 70's and I am so honored to be with you on your journey to Stuper Stardom and becoming a Legendary Music Icon. Adam this is your destiny.
> You have paid your dues and now Karma is doing its thing. Nothing but good things for you is what I see on the horizon.
> You are a true professional and a phenomenal performer!
> I was LuvAdam on the American Idol forum, however, someone else has taken that name so my Glambert number is attached on your fansite.
> I can't wait for your first single, album and I will see you in Concert on 24 Jul '09 in Tulsa, OK.
> One last thing, your so called screaming and tongue. Keep hitting that high register note, and keep using your tongue to help with the high register. I am one of very very many that love, and I mean love the high register and your tongue. That is music to my ears. We refer to that high note as your signature note, and your tongue is a part of that. Please don't stop doing what you are doing.
> Your fan forever LuvAdam476.  aka @Gloria476

 Hi Adam,

> My name is Gloria, I am 57 years young (just turned on 17 Jan:)) and I live in rural Oklahoma.  Born in Germany, grew up in Lompoc, CA, which is 50 miles north of Santa Barbara, CA.  Just a little about me, straight female, retired from the U.S. Army after serving 20 years, 9 months and 21 days of Active Duty. I retired in OK, because the cost of living is low...and oh well....someone has to live!

> Like so many others to include yourself I know what discrimination feels like and everything that comes with it. Our situations may be different, but we are still the same.

> I have never been a fangirl in MY LIFE until YOU!  When I first saw you on Idol (the auditions) I knew there was something extraordinary about you....but when you began to sing "I Can't Get No Satisfaction) I remember I was walking into the kitchen, and you stopped me dead in my tracks!  I was in such awe of you (and still am) that was the TRUE beginning of my life changing, because YOU, Adam Lambert are such an incredible and amazing human being.

> I have been to two of your concerts, but actually had tickets to two more, (total 4)  but was unable to attend two of them.  I saw you on your Idol tour in Tulsa, OK and I was hoarse for three days afterward.  When you came out to sign autographs, I didn't get one, because I was a little far back about 10 feet from you and everyone was pushing and going wild, but I saw you and out loud without even realizing it I said OMG HE IS BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL, the girl standing next to me agreed, she was an Adam fan also:)

> You have been my Happy Place since first seeing and hearing you.  I had the honor and priviledge of attending a GNT concert and your voice on Idol tour and GNT is more beautiful, clear and smooth in person than on an album/cd.  That voice of yours is so flawless and soothing and smooth, you are what I listen to on my dark days to get me out of a'm sure you as a famous celebrity never have

> In the military I had to stay conservative in the way I dressed, acted blah, blah, blah, but you helped me to bring out my wild/rebellious side (I was always a late bloomer)lol!  Now I am me, the me I want to be and not what everyone expects me to be.  For the first time in my life I feel somewhat free.  Thank you so much for all you do Adam.

> Adam the bottom line, there are no words to describe the effect you have on me, your voice, your personality, your whole persona!  Please NEVER change who you are and always stay true to yourself.  I am so very happy for you that you have found true love.  You and Sauli make a perfect couple:)  I wish you both nothing but Love, Health and Happiness for always!

> I hope (you have no idea how much) that I someday get a meet and greet with you, to tell you in person how extraordinary you are, (get a hug and picture too.

> I'm rambling so one last thing.....THANK YOU...THANK YOU....THANK YOU....for autographing my four 4x6 photos I sent to you when still on Idol.  I cried when I received them in July 2009, you personalized each one, I have each framed and lookat them everyday!

 Love to you always,

 Gloria aka @Gloria476

Dear Adam,

You have had such a powerful and positive impact on my life!  You brought color back to my world!  Because of you, I'm more accepting of all people, less judgemental, more free to be me!!  I step out of my comfort zone and go a little "cuckoo" sometimes (totally legal lol), and don't care what others think!  And even though I don't personally know you, I feel like I do, because you let us into your world.  I thank you for that!

Having you in my life was so major to me over the last 3 months.  My mom was diagnosed with a terminal illness, and I had to take off work to take care of her.  There was no one else....just me.  It was the most heartbreaking time of my life.  Some nights I was so sure I was gonna "lose it", watching her slowly die.

But every day, every I sat by her bed, I had YOU with me.  Your voice in my ipod soothed my soul, lifted my spirit, and really kept me going!  Being able to hear your music, and follow your exciting and crazy world through twitter and the net was the best distraction for me.  You were my "great escape" (my fave Canyons song!).  That meant the world to me!!!

My mom is now gone, and while I still get sad and melancholy, I know that I have you in my life.  I could listen to you sing whatever.....forever!  You are truly a special person, your voice is magical, your soul beautiful.  I hope to meet you somehow, someday, and get one of those famous "Adam Hugs"!  I wish you love, light, and happiness always........

luv, Robin :)   @RobinInSA

Hi Adam.

I just want to thank you for putting music back into my life. I have always loved music but had stopped listening to the radio or buying new songs and pretty much only listened to my favorites like Led Zeppelin, Queen, Styx and the Alan Parsons Project. Your dramatic, emotional and charismatic style of singing leaves me rapturously drained. You also have introduced me to new artists I would probably never have listened to, for example Muse, Sam Sparro and Miike Snow. I can't thank you enough for that.

And thanks to you, my iPod is filled with not only my beloved classics but your songs (I admit I have numerous versions of the same song) and your recommendations, as well. So although what you have done for me isn't life changing in a huge way, my life SOUNDS and FEELS beautiful again.

And I smile a lot more. Thank you. And if your gift of music wasn't enough, I also respect you immensely for your kind and generous spirit, your sense of humor, your loyalty, your unique and trendy sense of fashion, your beautiful smile....I really could go on and on, but I think you get the message. I'm your fan forever!

  1. I love the idea about getting husbands and/or boyfriends involved in the letter writing very cute I would ask hubby but he is not home today. Also just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work in putting this together you are the best.

  2. Love the remix! Got my husband to end a note about Adam. Hope it's not too late.

  3. Hi Gloria,
I just saw your letter to Adam today-and discovered we have the same birthday!!! But I am 7 years older than you.... Every word you wrote could have been written by me {except your military experience and the state you live in.}I live in San Diego-about 15 minutes from where Adam grew up. I wanted to write a letter for you to include in your package for Adam but after reading those amazingly poignant ones already written-I felt that anything I would say would pale in comparison....Someday, I too would love to give this young man a hug and thank him for all the inspiration and joy he has given to me, just by being the beautiful soul he is and sharing his amazing voice with the world. Thank you for all you do on this site-you truly deserve to see Adam again and bask in his presence.XOXO Lorraine
